ENTERPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CELL:  

The Pre-Incubation Cell was inaugurated at SIES Graduate School of Technology (SIESGST), Nerul, Navi Mumbai on July 26, 2023 by Dr. P.V. Parameswaran, Hon. Advisor.  Pre-Incubation cell provides facility dedicated to supporting and fostering innovation, entrepreneurship and startup culture among the students and alumni of the institute. The Cell provides a conducive environment where aspiring entrepreneurs can nurture their ideas and turn them into successful ventures. Here are some key aspects of the Pre-Incubation Centre: 

  1. Incubation Support: The centre offers various incubation support services to students and alumni who have innovative ideas or startups. This support may include mentorship, access to resources, workshops, networking opportunities, and guidance from experienced entrepreneurs.
  2. Idea Validation: Aspiring entrepreneurs can get their ideas validated at the Preincubation Center through discussions, market research, and feasibility studies. This helps them understand the potential of their ideas and refine them further.
  3. Co-Working Space: The centre provides a shared workspace for the incubates, where they can work on their projects, collaborate with peers, and immerse themselves in an entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  4. Access to Resources: The Preincubation Centre may offer access to essential resources such as internet connectivity, meeting rooms, library facilities, and prototyping tools, depending on the specific setup.

SELECTION PROCESS FOR APPLICANT OR STARTUP:

The startup or incubates are selected based on following stages:

STAGE 1: Internal / External review expert committee (Preliminary analysis):

  • Online or offline form submission.
  • Preliminary Screening.
  • Evaluation of Business proposal.

STAGE 2: Internal / External review expert committee (Assessment of the idea/business plan):

  • Invitation for pitching presentation.
  • Recommending startup for incubation.
  • Invitation to discuss the requirement and incubation agreement.
  • Induction in SIESGST Startup Center.
